Type 1, 2, or 3 ..!!

Such an awesome series from this author !

Book 3: Lightening brings Alex and his group of friends together trying to find a cure for someone in their small group, but in doing so.. they learn new and more dangerous aspects of the zombie type virus that has taken so much from them. But with a close encounter from Patient Zero, Alex and friends continue to fight back and are able to secure a possible cure for those that are still human.

I love how Shaun keeps the pace of this book, as well as Rain and Storm at a steady pace of reading and it doesn't stop! He brings in new characters and blends them in so that they are all working for the same thing.. their lives. Alex, who is the main character in all of the books in this series goes from no confidence at all, to becoming a very good leader. One that you would want to follow.

As with Rain and Storm the editing in Lightening is very good.. I have yet to see or read any. Also there is some language .. but not much.

Thank you Shaun Harbinger for such an awesome series, and I am waiting patiently waiting for book 4: Wildfire.

I waited patiently for this one to come out and I was well rewarded for my patience.

Before I go on, I want to apologize to the author as I have just discovered that reviews posted directly from my Kindle do not appear to be posting at all.

This book continues the fantastic level of storytelling that I have come to expect from Mr. Harbinger. I can honestly say it is a refreshing take on how the hero of a story should be. The character has progressed as one would expect in real life, not a sudden superhero but one who developed as what can only be explained as how a 'normal' person would. I have only read a few others that presented human behaviour as accurately as this book does. The depth and breadth of the other characters ensures that the reader will stay entertained from the first page to the last. Excellent book and I highly recommend it.

Oh, yes. It CAN get worse. MUAHAHAHAHAHA

The third book, Lightning, picks up immediately where Storm leaves off. Alex, the narrator of the series, is still searching for his brother Joe and their parents, but he finds himself on a mission to raid a government research lab for a vaccine that can reverse the hybrid mutation.

The author, Shaun Harbinger, has improved his style since the second book. It's no longer a zombie story...there are mutations galore, and a people-versus-government mentality. Harbinger taps into the classic horror theme, while terrorizing readers with one nightmare after another.

Looking forward to the fourth book, coming out November 2015.

I have to agree with a previous review that information in this book could have been gleaned from the internet. Not very substantive. Leaves you wanting to know more and wondering why so much detail was left out. Believe there is more to Margaret Keane than what is portrayed in this lacking book. Disappointed!

Jonas Olson presents a critical survey of moral error theory, the view that there are no moral facts and so all moral claims are false. In Part I (History), he explores the historical context of the debate, and discusses the moral error theories of David Hume and of some more or less influential twentieth century philosophers, including Axel Hagerstrom, Bertrand Russell, Ludwig Wittgenstein, and Richard Robinson. He argues that the early cases for moral error theory are suggestive but that they would have been stronger had they included something like J. L. Mackie's arguments that moral properties and facts are metaphysically queer. Part II (Critique) focuses on these arguments. Olson identifies four queerness arguments, concerning supervenience, knowledge, motivation, and irreducible normativity, and goes on to establish that while the first three are not compelling, the fourth has considerable force, especially when combined with debunking explanations of why we tend to believe that there are moral properties and facts when in fact there are none. One conclusion of Part II is that a plausible error theory takes the form of an error theory about irreducible normativity. In Part III (Defence), Olson considers challenges according to which that kind of error theory has problematic ramifications regarding hypothetical reasons, epistemic reasons, and deliberation. He ends his discussion with a consideration of the implications of moral error theory for ordinary moral thought and talk, and for normative theorizing.

About the Author

Jonas Olson is Reader in Practical Philosophy at Stockholm University. He received his PhD from Uppsala University in 2005. In 2005-2008 he was a Fellow at Brasenose College and Departmental Lecturer in Moral Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He has held visiting positions at the University of Otago, CEPPA (Centre for Ethics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs) at the University of St Andrews, and at Universite de Montreal. Olson works mainly in metaethics, value theory, and history of moral philosophy. He is co-editor with Iwao Hirose of The Oxford Handbook of Value Theory (OUP USA, forthcoming) and he has published several articles in peer-reviewed collections and journals, such as such as Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, Hume Studies, Mind, Oxford Studies in Metaethics, Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophy and Phenomenological esearch, Ratio, and Utilitas.
