Arturo Perez-Reverte (Cartagena, Spain, 1951) was a newspaper columnist and former television journalist for twenty-one years. Now he is fully dedicated to literature and is considered one of the top-10 international novelists. Buen comienzo, largo y pesado final

Me atrajo mucho al principio, pero cuando acerté lo predecible, terminar la novela fue un ejercicio de disciplina más que de entusiasmo. Buen conocimiento del arte pictórico y del ajedrez no me sorprendieron, Péreez-Reverte es un autor tan completo... Me encanta.

Poetry in prose. Great author, thrilling cultivated story. Couldn't put it down, The dénouement comes at the very last pasges, a usual trait in Perez Reverte's books. Wonderful work.
