Liza Wallach Kloski is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, and founded LizaSonia Designs in 2003, a unique upscale jewelry brand and retail store in the Montclair District of Oakland, which wholesaled designs to 17 Nordstrom stores, in addition to 80 other retail stores. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Liza has won numerous design and business awards and was the main educational expert in Entrepreneur magazine's paperback book "Start Your Own Fashion Accessories Business (StartUp Series)." LizaSonia Designs was a successful jewelry company for more than a decade before Liza's passion turned to 3D printing jewelry.
Nick Kloski has earned the respect of his colleagues through hard work, dedication and vision throughout his 15+ years in the high-tech industry. Graduating from UC Santa Barbara with an English Major, he was hired into Sun Microsystems during the dotcom boom, and has held a number of technical writing roles at Sun, and more recently, at Oracle translating complex technical architectures into understandable ideas. My Favorite 3D Printing Book, Period!

This is by far my favorite 3D printing book I have read in the past 4 years! I decided to try this book because it had useful info on 3D printing and 3 different types of modeling software. The trouble shooting section was a real life savor. This book covers everything and helped me a lot when I couldn't figure out how to fix my prints. I'm not very tech savvy and found other books harder to follow. I found this book the easiest to understand. I highly recommend it.

A practical guide to get you started safely in 3D printing.

Well written and organized, this book will definitely help you get started. The early chapters give you a good feel for the current state of 3D printing, especially the hardware for the tinkerer. I frankly thought that maybe I should wait a couple of years until it evolves to plug and play. But then I'm at that age that I don't buy green bananas. So I kept reading, joined the Tinkercad community cited in the book and already have a couple of files ready to print. Bottom line, this book tells you how to get started safely and effectively, pointing out all the pitfalls for the beginner. Of course, now I'll have to come up with bucks to get the printer!

Informative and well-written introduction to 3D Printing

I'm new to 3D printing and this book (Make: Getting Started with 3D Printing) is an informative and well-written introduction. Clearly, the authors are experts in this are and are passionate about helping others with practical advice. The writing is crisp and engaging and the photos are well-done.
