About the Author
Scarlett Lewis is a mother, an artist, an avid horsewoman, and a new activist for peace. She is the founder of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, created in honor of her son who was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in December 2012. Scarlett lives with her family on a farm in Newtown, Connecticut. Natasha Stoynoff is a New York Times best-selling author and former staff writer for People and freelancer for Time magazines. She lives in Manhattan, where she is currently working on books, screenplays, and her first off-Broadway play.

Tin Foil Hat Brigade of Truthers need to meet the Birthers. They will be BFFs.

This is an incredible story about a horrendous event that never should have happened. That this mother was able to make it past this cold dark day only to be attacked by the Tin Foil Hat Brigade is a horrible reflection of our society. Free speech and all that but to attack a mother who has lost a child?
Someone must have tipped the trailer park and let all of these barely literate out.

Ignore the negative reviews

I am a long time prime member who has never written a review. I was so angered by the account of the Sandy Hook "Truthers" that I felt I had to do something. A few clicks to buy the book, a few more to figure out how the heck to leave a 5 star review. It is not Amazon's job to out shout these ignorant selfish attention craving idiots, it is ours. I know it isn't much, but the world is full of good people who do nothing and I am tired of being one of them. I wish you all the peace you can find, Scarlett Lewis.

I bought TWO copies because I read an article about the "truthers" who panned it.

First: my condolences to the author and applause for her courage.
Second: I wouldn't have even known about this book if it weren't for an article about the people who wrote and said horrible things to and about the author. Instead of saying horrible things in return about them (as tempting and somewhat justified as that would be), I am buying not just a copy for my iPad, but also a hard-cover copy. I will give the hard copy to someone who would be interested in it, but who doesn't have an electronic device.
